Howl-O-Ween 2010!

On Thursday, 10.28.10, we celebrated Halloween with our annual Howl-O-Ween Party. 30 of our Best Friends joined in on the spooky festivities! We had games, photos and go-home goodie bags. We also had a costume contest. The participants photos are on display in our lobby and customers will have a week to vote for the "Best Costume". First, second and third place will be in for some great prizes!

New Training Classes For October

We have new training classes starting next week which include: Puppy Kindergarten, Basic Obedience and Advanced Obedience. Each program is once a week for 6 weeks and costs $150.00.

Puppy K is held either Thursday night from 7:00pm - 8:00pm or Sunday morning from 11:00am - Noon. The first class will be held on 10.14.10 (Thurs) or 10.17.10 (Sun)

Basic Obedience is held either Thursday night from 6:00pm - 7:00pm or Sunday morning from 10:00am - 11:00am. The first class will be held on 10.14.10 (Thurs) or 10.17.10 (Sun)

Advanced Obedience is held on Sunday morning from 9:00am - 10:00am. The first class will be held on 10.17.10 (Sun)

Dakota's Crazy Circus!

Dakota celebrated her 9th birthday with us in style this September. 25 of her closest friends joined in the festivities! Dakota had a circus-themed party with games, presents, photos, birthday cake and go-home goodie bags!

Dakota has been part of our camp program for over 3 years now. You would never know she is nine years old; she is so young at heart! Dakota not only loves to play with all her friends... she is quite the cuddler too.

Web Cams!

Best Friends Pet Care of Boxford is proud to annouce that we now have live web cams in our Doggy Day Camp rooms! Now while you are away from your pet you can check in and see how they are doing.

When you enter into our main lobby you can now see a live video feed into the Camp room so you can watch your pup play. You may also log onto our website and view a snap shot video of the Camp room which refreshes itself every minute.

We are all very excited for this new feature and we hope you all enjoy! Also, as an added note, we do still take a photo of your pet while they are boarding which will be emailed to you provided we have your current email address. 

Spa Day!

Best Friends Pet Care of Boxford offers full Grooming services in addition to our other services of Boarding, Training and Doggy Day Camp. Grooming is essential for our pets and we are here to help your pet get their very own Spa Day! We take reservations for outside appointments Monday thru Saturday. Small Dog Meet Up

This past Saturday we held our monthly Small Dog Meet Up from 1:00 - 3:00pm. We had 7 dogs attend the Meet Up and what fun they had! It turned out to be a beautiful Saturday afternoon and the dogs enjoyed running around outside and playing with eachother in the nice weather.

Strut for Strays

Come on down to the Bartlett Mall in Newburyport on Sunday, May 23rd, and help support a great cause! The Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society will be hosting their annual "Strut for Strays" event. The event will be held from 11:00am - 4:00pm on the 23rd.

Best Friends Pet Care of Boxford is proud to be a part of this big event. We will have a booth set up along with various other local vendors. There will also be live music, raffles and a walk to raise money for the MRFRS. Hope everyone can come down and join in on this wonderful cause!

Happy Birthday Otto!

Otto and 28 of his friends celebrated his 2nd birthday with us this past Thursday. Everyone had a blast at the "Indy 500" themed party. We had lots of fun with the relay-race themed games and contests. There was also some delicious birthday cake and goodie bags.

Otto has been attending our Doggy Day Camp program for 1 1/2 years. Otto has lots of energy and enjoys doing laps around the yard and being chased by all his friends! We hope you had a great time at your party because I know we did!

Monthly Meet Up

This past Saturday we held our monthly, all dog meet up. Though Saturday was a cold and rainy day, the dogs still had a blast running around and playing in our large indoor playroom. We had 10 dogs participate in this last meet up and boy were they a wild bunch!

Primo's 1st Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRIMO!

Primo celebrated his 1st birthday with 27 of his friends yesterday. Primo and his friends had a blast at the sports-themed pool party. There were games, birthday cake, goodie bags and presents.

Primo has been attending our Day Camp Program for 3 months now. Primo is a very energetic Wheaten Terrier that brings a liveliness to the group. Primo just loves to run around and chase all of his friends!

Echo Rescue Event

Best Friends Pet Care is proud to unite with Echo Rescue and offer our facility as a place for them to hold their 2nd Annual Reunion on Saturday, May 15th. Echo Rescue is a nationally recognized organization that specialized in fostering and adopting out White German Shepards.

During the event there will be contests, agility equipment, CGC testing, story telling, games for kids & dogs, information on White German Shepards, and lots more. This event is a great way to learn more about White German Shepards, potential fostering opportunities and adopting your very own White German Shepard!

Best Friends in the News

Best Friends of Boxford made the local news! We held our annual Doggy Day Camp Easter party on Thursday, 4.1.10, and 28 dogs showed up to party. We had an Easter egg hunt, contests and Easter photos were taken for the Mom & Dad.

Scooby Dooby Doo!

Happy Birthday Sparky & Rascal!

Sparky & Rascal celebrated their 2nd birthday with us and 33 of their friends yesterday! These two lucky boys had a "Scooby Doo" themed party. Ironically, both Sparky & Rascal share a lot of the some traits as the beloved Scooby Doo!

Sparky & Rascal have been attending our camp program for 1 1/2 years. "The Twins", as we call them, come to camp 5 days a week and we still can't get enough of them! They are the sweetest pair and they love to play with all of their friends. Since "The Twins" come everyday, they are great role models for new campers and they welcome every new dog with open arms.

Boys, we hope you had a great time at your party and enjoy playing with all of your new toys!

Easter Party

We held our annual Day Camp Easter Party on Thursday, 4.1.10, and 28 of our favorite pals came to celebrate with us!

We had a blast during the games and contests! Some acitivities were: an Easter Egg Hunt, Best Bunny Hopper and Easter photos were taken for Mom & Dad.

We also had a special guest stop by for the party, Elizabeth Coughlin, from the local newspaper "Tri-Town Transcript". Elizabeth took some beautiful photos of some local Day Campers. Their will be an article in this weeks paper which comes out 4.9.10 so make sure to keep your eyes peeled because your pets photo may make it in the paper!

Chloe's Irish Jig!

Chloe and 25 of her closest friends celebrated her 3rd birthday with us last Thursday. Chloe's "St. Patrick's Day" themed party was a huge hit! We had games/contests ("best irish jig dancer", "fastest to the pot of gold", "cutest charm", etc.), birthday cake, go-home goodie bags and lots of birthday presents!

Chloe has been attending our Day Camp program for 2+ years. She has been such a great addition to our pack of dogs. Chloe loves to run around and wrestle with her friends. Chloe has LOTS of energy and she keeps the party going all day long!

All Dog Meet Up

Interested in doggy playgroups? Your in luck! Best Friends of Boxford is proud to host a monthly Meet Up Group for your four-legged friends. Wondering what a Meet Up Group is? A Meet Up Group is a place where you can bring your dog to run around and socialize with a group of other friendly dogs. Not only will your dog have fun, but you will also be able to meet some other local dog lovers and exchange stories.

On Saturday, March 13th, we held one of our two Meet Up Groups from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. We had 15+ dogs participate that day and everyone had a blast!

Bailey's Baseball Bash!

Bailey celebrated his 3rd birthday with us on Thursday 3.4.10. Bailey and 25 of his friends partied in style kicking off the new baseball season by supporting our beloved Red Sox! The campers enjoyed playing a thrilling game of catch, opening presents, eating birthday cake and going home with some great goodie bags!

Bailey has been attending our camp program for almost 3 years now! He was one of our first camp dogs since we first started our program. Bailey is a gentle giant! Bailey loves to run & wrestle with his friends, but he also loves to get attention from the associates too.

Saturday Day Camp has offically begun! We originally offered Doggy Day Camp Mon-Fri from 7:00am - 7:00pm. It's with great pleasure to announce that we have also added Day Camp on Saturday's from 8:00am - 1:00pm.

There was an endless supply of hugs and kisses shared yesterday at our Doggy Day Camp's annual Valentine's Day Party. 30 love struck pups came to celebrate with us and everyone had a great time!

All the Mom's & Dad's got a gift from their pets! While your best friend was at camp they all stamped their paw prints onto a heart. Also, everyone went home with a banadana and a goodie bag. We also had some contest winners:

Hawaiian Luau Birthday Bash!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHELBY!

Shelby celebrated her 3rd birthday with us this past Thursday. Shelby and 32 of her friends warmed things up with the Hawaiian themed party! Everyone enjoyed dancing to the festive music, doing the doggy limbo, and eating birthday cake! Shelby got lots of nice presents and all of her friends got some great go-home goodie bags.

Shelby has been attending Day Camp since June of 2008. Shelby has made some major progress within our program. At first, Shelby was skeptical of leaving her mom because they are best friends! After a few times at Doggy Day Camp, Shelby realized how much fun it was playing with all of her new friends! Shelby enjoys playing chase and she loves playing fetch!

Shelby has been a great addition to our camp and we love having her! We are all so happy that you shared your special day with us.

Happy Birthday Penn!

Penn celebrated his 1st birthday with us in style! Penn and 25 of his friends had a rowdy time at his "Wild West" themed party. The day consisted of a good ol' game of sheriff's & outlaws, square dancing and birthday cake. All of Penn's friends went home with a goodie bag and a bandana!

Penn has been attending out camp program for about 8 months and he sure is the life of the party! Penn loves to chase, wrestle & talk his friends. Penn is best buddies with Sparky & Rascal, two Golden Retriever's. They are the "Three Stooges" of camp!

Party Time!!

Happy Birthday Utah & Skye!

We celebrated Utah & Skye's 3rd birthday on Thursday, 1.21.10, and 28 of their friends attended the party! This brother and sister duo have been coming to our Day Camp program for about 2 1/2 years.

While Utah enjoys wrestling & chasing his friends, Skye enjoys basking in the sun or finding a warm place to curl up. Skye also enjoys playing with the smaller dogs as she possesses many motherly qualities. One of her best friends is Bella, a little pug!

If you cannot find Utah & Skye playing with their friends you surely can find them snuggling up with the counselor. They are both full of hugs and kisses so you better bring an extra towel!

We hope Utah & Skye had a great time at their party because I know we did!

Max celebrated his 3rd birthday with us this past Wednesday. 30 of his closest friends attended the party; what a lucky boy! Max and his friends had a blast playing games, eating cake and opening presents!

Max has been attending our camp program for almost 2 years now. Max is such and love bug but he has lots of energy. Max enjoys running around, chasing & wrestling his friends, and giving lots of kisses! When Max needs a rest he looks for a warm place to relax, preferably an associates lap!
